Like everything in a pandemic world, this years Academy Awards have been delayed, with the ceremony being held on April 25^thmuch later than the normal late-February show.This years Oscars are making history for a couple of reasons, pandemic aside. This is the first time that multiple women have been nominated for Best Director (Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman and Chlo Zhao for Nomadland).
